"Star Trek" Casting Rumors Finally Confirmed

J.J. Abrams, director of the must anticipated Star Trek set to come out Christams day 2008, made an announcement today at Comic Con confirming that Zachary Quinto will be the new Spock. In the Trek prequel, Leonard Nimoy will also don the ears once again portraying an older Mr. Spock. William Shatner is not cast in the movie, but that could change. More will be revealed in the months to come. The role of Captain Kirk is not yet cast, and Abrams is looking for suggestions. Along with the casting announcement, a new poster has been released:
