The hip-hop group Languistik Arkiteks is on the cutting edge and blowing up on the underground scene. The group, featuring DJ Epik and Word Perfect, is based out of Phoenix, Arizona and has a rapidly growing fanbase both locally and nationally. They have a 2005 album entitled Self Taught. Samples of the album can be heard on their myspace page: myspace.com/languistikarkiteks. All beats and lyrics are original and created entirely in their own studio in Phoenix.

The Japanese can stay cool this Summer with "Pepsi Ice Cucumber", a new soda based on the crisp green gourd.

The soft drink, which hits Japan stores today, doesn't actually have any cucumber in it -- but has been artificially flavored to resemble "the refreshing taste of a fresh cucumber," said Aya Takemoto, spokeswoman for Suntory Ltd.

"We wanted a flavor that makes people think of keeping cool in the summer heat," Takemoto said. "We thought the cucumber was just perfect."

The mint-colored soda is on sale just for the summer and only in Japan, Takemoto said. She said that Suntory aims to sell 200,000 cases over the next three months.
