You Be the Judge

September 28th, 2006

Now that I am in the market for a new iPod, I decided to do some research on the subject. I have been hearing rumors, as I'm sure many of you have, about the 6G iPod that is supposed to be full screen with a virtual touch-screen click wheel. It looks cool, but most of the pictures of it are most likely fakes. I'm still not sure wheather or not I should hold my breath and wait for the "6G" to come out, or just get a new one sooner rather than later. This website seems to have the most information about the speculated new 6th generation iPod and about the quite likely possibility of its being faked. Check it out and judge for yourself. What do you all think about the 6G iPod w/touch screen click wheel? Real or fake?

In space, no one can hear your mp3's

Today was a very interesting day for me. I awoke to find my car broken into, the glass from the front driver's side window scattered everywhere and a rather large rock positioned at the foot of the passenger seat. Oh, and the bastards took my iPod, too. Oh, man. But, also, I have been working on a student "JMARS" project. My team and I met today to work out some details about what we will be doing. Basically, we are the first "civilians" (if you will) to be able to take our very own picture of Mars using NASA's software and the THEMIS camera placed in Mars orbit by NASA and ASU. Everyone can check out the JMARS project, though. So, goto http://jmars.asu.edu and check it out yourself.

Dagger of the Mind

September 12th, 2006

Wow. Wow. I just watched the best South Park episode ever! It was called "Roger Ebert Should Eat Less Fatty Foods". I loved it so much because throughout the entire episode there was a somewhat subtle yet definite reference to the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "Dagger of the Mind". I Was, to say the least, laughing my ass off. Also, I decided to write about it in my blog because I found an amazing website that lets you download any episode (or whole season) of South Park right onto your computer for FREE!!! It's www.southparkstuff.com. Once there, click on the links in the left nav bar that say "Season 1" through "Season 10" and there you have it! Instant, FREE South Park episodes for you. And, to quote the Hughes Net girl who I HATE, "you're welcome".

Let there be forms!

September 7th, 2006

Oh my goodness gracious! Forms are the biggest pain in the ass for any web developer! I haven't delt with forms run by my own server before, and it took me about 2 1/2 hours to set it up right. I had to troubleshoot and trial-and-error several times. But, I finally got it to work just the way I want it to. Now, the suggestion box is OPEN! So, please leave your comments and suggestions etc for me and I'll post up the best ones!

Astronomy Picture of the day

Today I spent about 30 minutes trying to get this crazy idea of mine to work. It was all going great, too, until I realized that it was futile from the beginning. The specifics aren't important and would fill up this page with a whole lot of technical jargan. But, basically I was trying to use JavaScript and building Arrays and such to get a certain picture to display and update itself every day. Yeah, that didn't work. So, I changed the site layout and general idea a little bit. It gave me an idea of what to do with the picture on the top of every blog anyways! Thanks, JavaScript!

kaylaiacovino1.0

September 3rd, 2006

Hello, and welcome to me! Kayla Iacovino! This webpage used to be a very different place. Now, it joins the thousands as a trendy, blog-theme designed webpage where I can publish anything I want, and you don't have to read it. Feel free to look around, and don't hesitate to leave suggestions! Enjoi :)

Every day I will be adding to this website (I hope) for as long as I hold interest in it. I'm not sure how long that will last. For now, it's looking good. One day and counting...
